Please be sensible about using the resources on this site. If you have other medical issues you may need to ask your doctor beforehand. Do not use relaxation techniques when driving or using machinery – take the time to lie down or sit comfortably.
SEEK ADVICE FROM THE PERSON WHO KNOWS THE MOST ABOUT YOUR HEALTH BEFORE CHANGING ACTIVITY LEVELS – OVER DOING IT CAN CAUSE SERIOUS RELAPSE BUT UNDER DOING IT CAN STORE UP FURTHER HEALTH PROBLEMS.
The recipes on this site assume that you are a non-pregnant, non-epileptic, non-asthmatic, adult human who has ME. If this is not you seek other advice.
Never use essential oils neat on the skin, always dilute with a base oil such as sunflower or almond (up to 30 drops per 30-50ml base oil). Smell it first – if it repulses you don’t use it. Test on a small patch of skin first time. See here for more advice: aromaweb.
People who have epilepsy or heart arrhythmias should avoid using binaural beats. For everyone else it is probably wise to limit listening to a maximum of 2hrs a day, the optimal amount is said to be 20-30mins.
I am not a nutritionist and any food related content is just from my experience. It is important to maintain a balanced diet, as well as tweaking food to improve symptoms.
I am signposting external resources linked on this site. I have not created them and I don’t officially endorse or get paid by any of these organisations.
I do not claim to be an expert. For example, although I have a Psychology BSc I am not a professional chartered psychologist or qualified hypnotherapist. This blog is mainly chronicling my health journey and different techniques I’ve tried as a patient (not a doctor or nutritionist etc etc). You need to make your own decision about whether these techniques are helpful to you.
